Bear B.U.M. and Bobby in the Rain - The Adventure Continues

On Monday, Bear B.U.M. was excited to go on another canoe trip to Algonquin. Upon arriving at their site on Ralph Bice Lake, Bear B.U.M. decided to catch some rays and later chill out by the fire. It was a glorious day for canoeing!

The next morning was very rainy but Bear B.U.M. and Bobby had to paddle and portage their way to Little Trout Lake. Luckily Bear B.U.M. was a wise old bear and had brought along his rain gear.

Not so smart was Bobby who endured 4 hours of rain and was very wet and extremely cold upon arriving at the new site. His first priority was to get a tarp up and build a small fire to help stave off hypothermia.

Later that evening the weather began to clear in time for dinner and, later still, Bear B.U.M. stayed up to watch the moon by the fire.

The next morning, Wednesday, Bear B.U.M. and Bobby once again endured the rain on the way to Queer Lake.

Once at Queer Lake, the weather turned to intermittent showers and Bear B.U.M. was able to see a moose on the far shore while Bobby worked on creating another fire to dry out and get warm.

Later that night, Bobby was surprised as behind him the moon made a brief appearance from behind the rain clouds.

On Thursday Bear B.U.M. and Bobby headed back to Ralph Bice Lake. Though the weather was improving, Bear B.U.M. was taking no chances. Bear fur is too hard to get dry once wet.

Finally, after canoeing into the wind all day, they found a great site to stay. The site had a sand beach and the view was spectacular.

Bear B.U.M. and Bobby spent many hours sitting on the rocks enjoying a fabulous sunset and later an 'almost full' moon.

Of course the last day was sunny and warm as Bear B.U.M. and Bobby headed for home. Another fine canoeing adventure comes to a close.
